Mechanical 3D Wooden Puzzle

The UGears Antique Jewelry Box is a self-assembly mechanical model crafted from pre-cut wooden parts. It functions both as a challenging puzzle and a working storage box with moving compartments. The kit requires no glue or tools, making it accessible to hobbyists and collectors who enjoy hands-on construction. It arrives new and ready to build.

Eight Compartments and Secret Storage

The completed box provides six main sections revealed when the lid lifts and side shelves unfold automatically. A central lower drawer extends simultaneously for additional organisation. A hidden button on the rear panel unlocks two concealed compartments for discreet storage. The mechanism operates purely through precision-cut gears and levers without electronics or springs.

Desktop Display and Gift Appeal

The assembled model sits on a flat surface as a decorative conversation piece featuring floral and oriental carvings. Its mechanical motion engages curiosity and demonstrates kinetic engineering principles. Builders gain a functional keepsake that organises small valuables while showcasing craftsmanship. The puzzle suits patients who appreciate multi-hour assembly projects.

Questions about this item

Will the moving shelves and drawer still operate smoothly if the box sits on a slightly uneven vintage dresser?

The mechanism is driven by the top cover and relies on precise gear alignment; a level surface keeps the mirror shelves and central drawer moving freely.

How can I confirm the secret compartments are functioning correctly after assembly?

Press the concealed button on the rear panel — both hidden compartments should pop open instantly if the internal linkage is assembled correctly.

Does the kit include glue, wax or tools, or must I purchase them separately?

The box contains pre-cut plywood sheets and an illustrated manual only; wood glue, candle wax for lubrication and a small file or sandpaper are not supplied.
