Standard Link Aggregation VLAN Modes

A hardware toggle selects Standard, Link Aggregation or VLAN operation. Link Aggregation combines ports 4 and 5 into a 5Gbps group for multi-port devices such as NAS units. VLAN mode isolates ports 1 through 4 from each other while allowing communication with ports 5 and 6 to segment traffic and reduce broadcast storms.

SFP+ Uplink Flexibility and Limits

The 10Gb SFP+ port accepts 1G, 2.5G or 10G optical or copper modules, which are not included, enabling fiber or copper uplinks to servers or routers. Buyers who need PoE power for access points or cameras should look elsewhere, as this model provides no Power over Ethernet. Those requiring managed features such as SNMP or port mirroring will also need a different switch.
