15 ft USB 3.0 extension for peripherals

This 15 ft USB 3.0 extension cable connects a USB Type A male plug to a female port, letting you position devices such as webcams, gamepads, keyboards, mice, flash drives, hard drives, VR headsets or consoles farther from the host computer. It supports data rates up to 5 Gbps and charging up to 2 A, and is backward compatible with USB 2.0, 1.1 and 1.0 devices. No driver installation is required on common operating systems.

Check host port and device speed before ordering

Verify that the computer or hub you plan to plug into provides a USB Type A port and that the peripheral uses a matching Type A connector. The cable reaches 5 Gbps only when both the host and the device support USB 3.0; otherwise the link falls back to the slower standard supported by the older side. Avoid using the cable in humid environments because oxidation of the gold-plated contacts can prevent USB 3.0 operation.

Braided 15 ft cable frees desk space

The braided jacket protects the conductors while the 15 ft length routes around furniture, eliminating the need to reach behind a desk or TV. Because the cable draws power from the host port, it adds no separate power supply to the build. It works with printers, scanners, card readers, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapters, hubs and the listed gaming accessories, extending each connection without additional hardware.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the UGREEN 90722 and do I need any extra adapters?

The package contains only the 15 ft USB 3.0 Type-A male-to-female extension cable. No extra adapters are required for standard USB-A ports.

Which length should I choose among the 3 ft, 6 ft, 10 ft and 15 ft versions?

Pick the 15 ft model when the peripheral sits far from the host — across a room, behind a TV or under a desk — so you avoid stretching or repositioning devices.

What does the 5 Gbps rating mean when I plug in a hard drive or VR headset?

With both ends on USB 3.0 ports you can reach 5 Gbps; if either side is USB 2.0 the link falls back to 480 Mbps, and the cable supplies up to 2 A for charging.
