USB-B to USB-C printer cable

This USB-B to USB-C cable links USB-B peripherals such as printers, scanners, fax machines and MIDI audio gear to USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 hosts. It targets home offices, studios and mobile setups that need a direct wired link without driver installation.

480 Mbps transfer with legacy fallback

The cable runs at USB 2.0 Hi-Speed up to 480 Mbps and falls back to 12 Mbps and 1.5 Mbps for older devices. It handles document printing, scanner uploads and MIDI data streams; it does not serve buyers who need USB 3.x or 10 Gbps throughput for external SSDs or video capture.

Nylon-braided 6.6 ft length

A 6.6 ft nylon-braided fiber jacket and aluminum connector housings resist bending and corrosion for 3000 plus cycles. The male-to-male layout plugs straight into a USB-C port on a laptop, tablet or phone and a USB-B port on the peripheral, freeing the user from adapter dongles.

Questions about this item

Will the USB-B connector on this cable fit the port on my older HP Deskjet 2540 printer?

Yes, the USB-B plug is the standard square connector used on the HP Deskjet 2540 and the other listed HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Lexmark and Oki models.

How can I verify the cable is delivering the 480 Mbps transfer rate after I plug it in?

The connection will enumerate as a USB 2.0 High-Speed device in your operating system, and you should see stable, error-free printing or MIDI data flow without the dropouts common on wireless links.

Does the 6.6 ft braided cable come with any adapters or do I need to buy a USB-C power brick separately?

The box contains only the male-to-male USB-C to USB-B cable; no adapters or power supplies are included or required for printer and MIDI data connections.
