What this cable does

The Ugreen USB C to DisplayPort 2.1 cable carries 40 Gbps bandwidth and supports 16K at 30 Hz, 8K at 120 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz and 2K at 480 Hz. It connects a USB-C or Thunderbolt 4/3 source to a DisplayPort monitor for mirroring, extending or daisy-chaining via MST. No driver is required.

Check your USB-C port first

The cable only works with ports that support DP Alt Mode video output. Verify that your laptop, phone or tablet lists video-out over USB-C before ordering. A charging-only or data-only USB-C port will not transmit a picture. The cable is unidirectional from USB-C to DisplayPort.

Replaces older DP 1.4 or HDMI 2.1 links

If your current cable caps at 32.4 Gbps, this 40 Gbps link unlocks 16K@30 Hz and 8K@120 Hz without compression. The jump is worth it when you need HDR, VRR, ALLM or eARC at those higher resolutions and refresh rates. It does not add video capability to a port that lacks DP Alt Mode.
