USB-C to USB-B 2.0 printer cable
This three-foot braided cable connects a USB-C computer to printers, scanners, fax machines, hard drives, cameras, pianos or DACs that use a USB 2.0 Type-B port. It works immediately without installing any drivers. The nickel-plated connectors and aluminium housing resist corrosion. Builders who need a USB-A host connection or a longer reach cannot use this cable.
Sustained transfer at up to 480 Mbps
The link runs at USB 2.0 high speed with a maximum data rate of 480 Mbps and falls back to full-speed USB 1.1 at 12 Mbps or low-speed USB 1.0 at 1.5 Mbps. The nylon braided jacket and moulded strain relief are rated for more than 10000 bend cycles, so the signal stays stable during long print jobs or scanning sessions. Users who require USB 3.0 or higher throughput will not get it from this cable.
Check your ports before ordering
Verify that the host device has a USB-C port and the peripheral has a USB 2.0 Type-B socket. The three-foot length suits desktop setups where the two devices sit close together. If your printer is farther away or your computer only offers USB-A, you will need a different cable.

Questions about this item
Does the braided jacket and aluminum housing keep the cable cool when it runs all day?
The cable has no active cooling; its nylon braid and aluminum plugs are passive and do not generate measurable heat during normal USB 2.0 data transfer.
What must my computer already have for this cable to work?
A USB-C port on the host and a USB 2.0 Type-B port on the printer, scanner, piano, DAC or other peripheral.
Will the 480 Mbps link slow down my older USB 1.1 scanner?
The cable is backwards compliant with USB 1.1 at 12 Mbps and USB 1.0 at 1.5 Mbps, so the older device runs at its native speed.
