Magnetic Retrieval Tool, 5 lb Pull

This magnetic pick-up tool extends from 6-5/8 in to 33-1/4 in, allowing users to reach fasteners or debris in deep cavities. A neodymium-iron-boron magnet provides a maximum pull capacity of 5 lb. The stainless steel handle features a cushioned, non-slip grip for secure handling during retrieval tasks.

Mechanics needing extended reach, not heavy lifting

The tool suits technicians retrieving dropped nuts, bolts or screws from engine bays, machinery or tight assemblies where fingers cannot reach. It is not intended for lifting components heavier than the rated magnetic pull. Buyers who need mechanical gripping jaws or a rigid shaft for prying should look at a different style of retrieval tool.

Telescoping shaft deploys in seconds

Pull the shaft to the desired length and the friction lock holds it in place; no tools or adjustment knobs are required. The flexible head angles around obstacles to contact ferrous parts. Dirt or oil on the magnet face can reduce holding force, so wipe the head clean before each use to maintain the full 5 lb capacity.

Questions about this item

What handle material and magnet type does this pick-up tool use?

It has a stainless steel handle and a neodymium-iron-boron high flux magnet.

Will the 1/2 in head diameter fit into the same tight spaces as my older retrieval tools?

The head measures 1/2 in diameter and the shaft telescopes from 6-5/8 in to 33-1/4 in, so reach changes but the head size stays the same.

How can I confirm the magnetic pull is working at the rated 5 lb capacity after extending the shaft?

Test it by lifting a known 5 lb ferrous object with the shaft fully extended to 33-1/4 in; the magnet should hold it securely.
