Portable speaker with 14-hour playtime

The Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 4 Joyous Bright is a portable Bluetooth speaker built for listeners who want extended playback away from a power outlet. Its IP67 rating means it survives immersion in one metre of water for 30 minutes and resists dust, making it suitable for pool, beach or shower use. The speaker also floats, so it remains retrievable if dropped in water.

Passive cooling with outdoor boost button

The sealed IP67 enclosure relies on passive thermal management, so the unit runs silently without fan noise during playback. A dedicated Outdoor Boost button raises output for open-air environments, while a Podcast mode emphasises vocal clarity for spoken-word content. Both modes operate within the same 14-hour battery envelope.

Pairing flexibility for stereo or mono

Two WONDERBOOM 4 units can be linked with a single press for combined mono output or a second press for true left-right stereo separation. The 360-degree driver layout distributes sound evenly around the speaker, reducing the need for precise aiming. No app or external power source is required to activate the pairing modes.

Press the pairing button once to double up both speakers, then press it again to activate true stereo mode with dedicated left and right channels.

What regular care does the IP67-rated speaker need after water exposure?

Rinse the speaker with fresh water after saltwater or chlorinated pool use, then let it air dry completely before the next charge or storage.

How long will the battery last at maximum volume during a party?

The battery provides up to 14 hours of playtime; sustained high volume or frequent Outdoor Boost use will reduce that runtime.
