62mm UV HD Protector Filter

The 62mm UV HD Protector Filter fits lenses with a 62mm thread and is designed for digital, video and GoPro cameras. It absorbs ultraviolet rays to improve contrast and colour rendition while acting as a permanent shield against scratches, dust, moisture and fingerprints.

Digital Multi-Coated HD Optics

The multi-coated high-definition optics reduce reflections and flare without adding colour cast. The coating also makes the glass easier to clean, so the filter maintains clarity over long-term use on any compatible camera system.

Check thread size before ordering

Verify that your lens or housing has a 62mm front thread; the filter will not mount on other diameters. No step-up or step-down rings are included, so the correct thread size is essential for attachment.

Questions about this item

Will the 62mm UV filter's multi-coating wear off and need replacement?

The Digital Multi-Coated HD Optics are designed as a permanent lens protector against scratches, dust, moisture and fingerprints, so the coating itself does not require scheduled replacement.

What limits image quality when the 62mm UV filter is left on the lens for extended shooting?

The filter absorbs UV rays from the sun to give sharper contrast and vivid pictures, so the practical limit is the optical quality of the HD Digital Multi-Coated glass rather than a usage-time restriction.

Does the 62mm UV filter add heat or affect the camera's power draw during all-day use?

As a passive glass filter with no electronics, it generates no heat and draws no power, leaving the camera's thermal and battery performance unchanged.
