Questions about this item

How do I install the BP-727 batteries in my VIXIA HF R800, and what step is often missed?

Insert each battery with the contacts facing the camcorder until the latch clicks; the step often missed is charging both packs fully before first use.

What maintenance will the two 3000 mAh packs and the 32 GB SD card need later?

Store batteries at roughly half charge if unused for weeks, and reformat the SD card in the camcorder after offloading footage to keep the file system clean.

What limit appears first during a long shoot with these batteries?

Each 3000 mAh pack will deplete before the 32 GB card fills at 90 Mb/s, so battery runtime is the first constraint.
