This Ultra Hardware 43740 deadbolt is a Grade 2 commercial lock designed for wood or metal doors. It uses a single cylinder with an SC4 keyway and ships keyed different for immediate installation. The 9800 series construction suits offices, rental units and other moderate-traffic entry points.

Brass Construction With Hardened Core

Heavy-duty solid brass tubular housing and reinforced steel plates surround a hardened steel core bar. A removable six-pin solid brass cylinder allows rekeying without replacing the lock body. The oversize strike plate and tapered collar resist forced entry while the full one-inch throw engages securely in the frame.

Replaces Lower-Grade Residential Deadbolts

Builders upgrading from standard residential hardware gain the strength of commercial-grade components and UL certification. The lock fits common door thicknesses without modification.
