Smart charger powers two or four AA/AAA NiMH or NiCd cells in 1.5–5 hours with delta-V cut-off, safety timer and reverse-polarity guard, plus car and USB cables.
The Ultralast ULINOV3 package combines a microprocessor-controlled smart charger with eight AccuPower AccuLoop-X AAA batteries rated at 1100 mAh each. The charger accepts two or four AA or AAA cells at once and supports both NiMH and NiCd chemistries. Negative delta-V detection, a safety timer, short-circuit protection and reverse-polarity guards stop charging automatically when cells are full. Red LEDs flash during charging and glow solid when ready.
The included batteries arrive pre-charged and hold about 85 percent of their capacity after a year in storage, so they work well for remotes, toys, clocks and other low-drain devices. The bundle is less suited for users who need to charge single cells or more than four at a time, or for equipment that requires higher-capacity AAA packs above 1200 mAh.
The charger’s independent bays handle only pairs or quads, so a single battery cannot be charged alone. Input is 120 V 60 Hz with a 6 V 500 mA output, and AAA cells of 700 to 1200 mAh take roughly 1.5 to 3 hours to reach full charge. A car cord and a USB cord are supplied for charging on the move or from a computer.

The charger draws 500 mA at 6 V from a 120 V 60 Hz supply and uses an intelligent microprocessor with negative delta-V cut-off and a safety timer, so it stops charging once batteries are full and generates minimal heat or noise during extended use.
You need a 120 V 60 Hz mains outlet, a vehicle 12 V socket for the included car cord, or a powered USB port for the included USB cord to run the charger.
The cells deliver 1.2 V and 1100 mAh with low self-discharge — retaining 85 % charge after a year — and are rated for up to 1000 recharge cycles, so they replace alkalines in any device that accepts AAA NiMH batteries.
