28-port Gigabit L2 managed PoE switch with 24 PoE ports, four uplinks and 56 Gbps switching capacity
The Ultratech 0E-24PRTMAN is a Layer 2 managed switch designed for networks that need both data and power over a single cable. It provides twenty-four Gigabit PoE ports, two RJ45 uplinks and two SFP uplinks in a 19-inch rack-mountable chassis. A switching capacity of 56 Gbps handles aggregated traffic across all ports.
This switch suits installers powering access points, cameras or VoIP phones where separate power outlets are unavailable. The four dedicated uplink ports keep fibre or copper trunk lines separate from the powered edge ports. Buyers who need a higher port count without PoE, or who require Layer 3 routing features, should look at a different class of switch.
The 56 Gbps backplane is the single figure that determines whether the switch can sustain full wire-speed traffic on all twenty-eight Gigabit ports simultaneously. If your design demands non-blocking performance across every port, this capacity meets that requirement; if your aggregation needs exceed it, a higher-capacity core switch is necessary.

Use the 24 PoE ports (RJ45) for powered devices such as cameras or access points, and the four uplinks — two RJ45 and two SFP — for backbone links to core switches or routers.
It allows all 28 Gigabit ports to run at line rate simultaneously without congestion, so PoE cameras, uplinks and workstations can pass full-speed traffic at the same time.
The switch follows 802.3af/at for PoE on the 24 RJ45 ports and 802.3/802.3u/802.3ab for the Gigabit copper and SFP uplinks.
