Universal rear-view clip

This unbranded holder clamps onto a rear-view mirror and accepts phones from 1.96 to 3.93 inches wide. A 360° rotating head and a 0–2 inch telescopic arm let the driver set any viewing angle without blocking sight of the road. The spring-loaded four-prong grip keeps the device secure on rough surfaces. Installation requires no tools and leaves no residue when removed.

Thermals noise power

The mount is made from ABS plastic rated for high-temperature cabin conditions so it will not soften or deform in direct sunlight. It has no motor, fan or electronic circuit, therefore it draws zero power and adds no audible noise to the vehicle interior. The rounded edges prevent scratches on both the mirror stalk and the phone casing during daily adjustment.

Clip and rotation benefits

The adjustable clip opens to 0.9 inch, fitting most mirror stalks as well as headrest posts, kitchen shelves or desk edges for hands-free video calls. Because the head rotates a full 360°, the same mount switches instantly between landscape navigation and portrait recording. One-hand insertion and release lets the driver dock or retrieve the phone without taking both hands off the wheel.

Questions about this item

How do I clip the mount onto my rear-view mirror and what is the step people often miss?

Open the spring clip, slide it over the mirror stalk so the jaws sit flat, then tighten the thumb screw until the mount cannot wiggle; the step many skip is checking that the 360° rotating joint is locked before driving.

What part of this holder will need replacement first?

The ABS plastic clip arms and the four-prong phone grip are the wear items; repeated opening and closing can fatigue the spring tension, so keep a spare clip assembly on hand.

What is the widest phone this mount can hold before the grip fails?

The adjustable jaws accept devices from 1.96 to 3.93 inches wide and up to .9 inch thick; exceeding that width will prevent the four-prong clamp from closing securely.
