Multi-Outlet Wall Tap Extender

This two-pack of wall tap extenders turns a standard duplex receptacle into six grounded AC outlets. Each unit accepts up to six bulky three-prong plugs without blocking adjacent sockets. Rated at 15 amps, the splitters suit dorm rooms, offices, hotel stays and cruise-ship cabins where outlet count is limited.

Compact Side-Entry Design

The extender measures 2.9 by 2.5 inches and protrudes only 1 inch from the wall, so it fits behind furniture or in tight corners where cords need to run sideways. No surge-protection circuitry is included, making the device compliant with cruise-line regulations and keeping the form factor slim. Two units in the pack allow separate rooms or a spare for travel.

15 Amp Total Capacity

All six outlets share a single 15 amp circuit, so combined draw must stay within that limit. High-wattage appliances such as heaters, kettles or large power tools can exceed the rating quickly, while typical phone chargers, laptops and shavers operate well within headroom. The extender does not add circuit protection, so the building breaker remains the sole over-current safeguard.

Questions about this item

How many amps can the 6-outlet wall tap handle before it trips?

The extender is rated for 15 A total, so the combined draw of every device plugged into the six sockets must stay at or below that limit.

Does the unit get warm or make noise when all six outlets are used continuously?

It has no fan or active cooling, so it runs silently; any warmth will depend on how close the total load runs to the 15 A rating.

What type of wall receptacle is required for this extender to work?

It plugs directly into a standard grounded 3-prong North American wall outlet (NEMA 5-15R).
