Uniden PRO520XL two-way radio

Compact CB Radio

The Uniden PRO520XL is a compact CB radio designed for mobile use in vehicles. It provides 40 channel operation on the standard CB frequency band for short-range communication. The unit features an S/RF meter and four-digit LED indicators for monitoring signal activity at a glance. It includes an ANL switch to reduce ignition noise and a PA/CB switch for public address functionality.

Who This Suits

Drivers needing a straightforward CB radio for highway communication or convoy coordination will find the 40 channels and instant Channel 9 access practical. The compact chassis fits tight dashboard spaces where larger units cannot. Buyers who need single-sideband capability, weather alert reception, or Bluetooth connectivity should look at other models.

Deciding Specification

This radio operates exclusively in AM mode on the 40 standard CB channels. If your intended use requires SSB transmission or reception, this unit will not meet that requirement. The AM-only operation is the key factor in deciding if this is the correct part for your setup.
