AA Battery Spring Contact Pack

This pack contains twenty nickel-plated iron spring contacts sized at 29 by 11 by 0.3 millimetres. They convert the positive terminal of a single AA battery to a negative contact inside a battery case. The silver-tone plates weigh seventeen grams total and are sold without batteries.

Replaces Worn Or Missing Battery Springs

These contacts replace damaged or lost springs in existing AA battery holders. The upgrade is worth it when a device loses power because the original spring has flattened, corroded or broken. They are not for converting other battery sizes or for use in multi-cell configurations.

Simple Press-Fit Installation

Each plate presses into the battery compartment by hand; no tools or soldering are required. What usually goes wrong is forcing the contact into a holder with a different internal width, which bends the thin point-three-millimetre metal. Verify the twenty-nine-millimetre length matches the case before fitting.

Questions about this item

Will the 29 x 11 mm spring plate fit my AA battery holder?

The plate is made for a single AA battery case and measures 29 x 11 x 0.3 mm, so it matches standard AA holder slots.

How do I install the contact without bending it?

Press the nickelled iron plate straight into the holder’s positive-to-negative channel; forcing it at an angle kinks the 0.3 mm thickness.

When should I replace the spring contacts?

Swap them out if the silver tone dulls, the 17 g pack shows corrosion, or the spring loses tension after repeated battery changes.
