Battery Holder for AA Cells

This open holder accepts two 1.5V AA batteries to deliver a 3V supply. The ABS case includes screw fixing holes for secure mounting. It is intended for hobbyists and technicians who need a simple external power source for soldering or prototyping.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The holder has no active electronics or regulation; voltage follows the state of the installed cells. Under continuous draw the output will decline as the batteries discharge, so plan for cell replacement or recharging in long-running projects.

Compatibility Check

Verify that your device operates reliably at 3V from two series AA cells. Confirm you have suitable mounting hardware, because screws are not supplied. Ensure the open design fits your enclosure and that you can access the batteries for changes.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 3V supply from two AA cells deliver during continuous use?

Two 1.5V AA batteries in series provide a nominal 3V output for as long as the cells hold charge.

What mounting hardware do I need to secure the holder in place?

You supply your own screws to fit the moulded fixing holes in the ABS case.

Will the open contacts mate reliably with the spring terminals on my legacy device?

The case has bare wire leads for soldering or direct connection to older spring-loaded battery compartments.
