2032 Coin Battery Holder with Switch

The Unique-Bargains B0219 holds two CR2032 cells and provides an on/off switch for simple power control. Each unit measures 52 by 23 millimetres and weighs 20 grams. The pack contains four black plastic and metal holders suited for low-current projects.

Lockable Switch and Wiring Limits

The integrated lockable switch lets users cut power without removing the batteries. Thin internal wires restrict the holder to very small current loads; the supplier notes that wires becoming hot signal an overload. Batteries are not included with the four-piece set.

Low-Current Interface Constraints

The holder outputs 6 volts when fitted with two 2032 cells but is only fit for tiny current draws. It cannot support loads that cause large current flow and must not be separated, maintained or refitted. Buyers needing higher amperage or solderable terminals should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How often will the thin wires need replacing if the load causes them to get hot?

Stop using the holder immediately if the wires become hot; the supplier notes the structure suits only very small current loads.

What current limit appears first when the holder runs continuously?

The thin wires and small structure are only fit for very small current loads; exceeding that limit makes the wires hot.

How much heat does the holder produce when left on all day?

If the wires get hot during sustained use, the supplier advises stopping use because the design is for very small current loads only.
