  • Two-pin connector enables quick wiring
  • Compact 12 mm height suits tight enclosures
  • High sound-pressure output ensures clear alerts

Purpose and audience

This pack contains five black piezo alarm buzzers designed for hobbyists and technicians building custom alert circuits. Each unit operates on a DC supply between 3 and 24 volts and uses a simple two-terminal connection for quick wiring.

Build integration

The compact plastic housing measures just 9 by 12 millimetres, allowing placement on dense prototype boards or inside tight enclosures. Their two-pin layout frees up PCB space compared to larger multi-pin sounders and requires no additional driver circuitry for basic operation.

Thermals, noise and power

Piezoelectric elements draw minimal current, so heat generation is negligible during continuous use. The devices produce a high sound pressure level suitable for audible alarms while maintaining low electrical wastage across the supported voltage range.

Questions about this item

How long can the buzzer run continuously at 24 V before the plastic housing softens?

The housing is rated for DC 3-24 V operation; sustained use at the top of that range will not exceed the material limits under normal ambient conditions.

What is the typical current draw and audible output when the buzzer is powered at 12 V all day?

At 12 V the piezo element draws only a few milliamps and maintains its high sound-pressure level without noticeable heating of the 9 g body.

Which power supply or driver circuit must I already have to connect the 2-pin terminals?

Any DC source between 3 V and 24 V with a current-limited output will drive the buzzer directly through its two pins.
