Five beige RJ45 couplers for cable extension

This pack contains five RJ45 8P8C female-to-female couplers in a beige plastic housing. Each unit measures 37 x 16 x 22 mm and weighs 34 g total. They join two Cat 5 or Cat 5e patch cords to create a single longer run without tools or soldering.

Passive plastic bodies add no power draw or noise

The couplers are unpowered passive components, so they draw zero watts and produce no audible noise. Thermals are not a consideration because no active circuitry is present. They simply extend the physical link between two Ethernet cables.

Questions about this item

How do I install the RJ45 8P8C female-to-female coupler into a wall plate, and what is the common mistake?

Snap the 37 x 16 x 22 mm beige plastic coupler into a standard keystone cutout until the retention clips click; the common mistake is not fully seating both sides, which leaves the connection loose.

What maintenance or replacement will the RJ45 8P8C coupler need over time?

The plastic housing and gold-plated contacts require no scheduled maintenance; replace a unit only if the latch tabs break or intermittent signal loss appears after re-terminating the attached Cat 5 or Cat 5e cables.
