  • 165 mm total length fits standard mounting points
  • 5 kg force lifts and holds lightweight panels
  • 45 mm stroke provides smooth opening travel
  • 150 mm hole centres match common hinge spacing
  • Silver-tone finish resists corrosion in garage use

Gas strut 165 mm total length

This gas strut measures 165 mm overall with a 70 mm tube and a 45 mm stroke. It delivers a 5 kg force rating and uses a 6 mm rod inside a 15 mm tube. The silver-tone finish suits garage and shop installations.

Mounting centres 150 mm simple fit

The strut mounts on 150 mm hole centres using standard ball sockets or eyelets. Align the brackets, press the ends onto the studs and secure the clips. Misaligned holes or over-extending the 45 mm stroke are the common causes of premature wear.

Light lids and panels up to 5 kg

It supports horizontally hinged doors, lids and canopies that require roughly 5 kg of lift assistance. Builders needing higher force, longer stroke or stainless steel construction should look at other specifications.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the strut is delivering the rated 5kg force after installation?

Open the lid or door fully; it should stay in place without drifting down, and the force should feel consistent through the 45mm stroke.

What hardware comes in the box and what must I source separately?

The strut body with 6mm rod and 15mm tube is included; mounting brackets, ball studs or eyelet fittings for the 150mm hole spacing are not supplied.

Which version should I choose if my application needs a 165mm extended length and 5kg lift?

This model matches those figures exactly — 165mm total length, 5kg force, 45mm stroke — so select this single specification.
