6 x AA Battery Holder in Series

This plastic holder accepts six AA 1.5 V cells wired in series to produce a 9 V output. It is intended for hobbyists, students and technicians who need a compact 9 V power source for prototyping or low-power devices. The unit ships without batteries.

Black Plastic Case with Snap Cover

The body measures 115 x 66 x 23 mm and weighs 99 g. A hinged cover opens with a pull or push action to secure the cells inside. Two attached wires, each 150 mm long, provide the external connection for soldering or terminal blocks.

15 W Maximum Power Rating

The supplier specifies a maximum working power of 15 W and a current limit below 2 A. Exceeding these limits can cause overheating, so the holder is unsuitable for high-drain applications. Buyers needing sustained currents above 2 A should choose a different power solution.

Questions about this item

How does the in-series connection affect the total voltage output?

Six 1.5V cells wired in series combine to give a nominal 9V output, matching a standard 9V block battery.

What are the exact body dimensions I need to clear for mounting?

The holder measures 115 x 66 x 23 mm (4.5 x 2.5 x 0.9 in), so allow that footprint plus wire bend radius.

What is the correct way to insert the batteries so the series circuit works?

Alternate each AA so the positive tip touches the next cell's negative spring; the cover then locks the stack in place.
