Clip-on ferrite cores for 5.0–7.0 mm cables

Ten grey snap-on rings fit cords from 5.0 mm to 7.0 mm outer diameter. Each core measures 16 mm by 30 mm and clamps around power, USB, audio or data leads without tools. The pack contains 10 pieces for multiple cable runs in home, office or light-industrial settings.

Replaces loose split beads and tape-on chokes

Fixed rings stay aligned on the cable and cannot slide off during handling. The jump is worth it when intermittent RF noise corrupts audio, video or data signals and a permanent, reusable clamp is preferred over adhesive or tie-wrap solutions.

Tool-free press fit with one common mistake

Open the hinged shell, lay the cable inside and snap shut until the latch clicks. Install as close to the noise source or equipment port as possible. The usual error is clamping over a connector moulding instead of the bare cable, which leaves a gap and defeats the suppression.

Questions about this item

What cable diameter range does the 7 mm grey ferrite core accept?

The clip fits cables from 5.0 mm to 7.0 mm (0.20" to 0.28") outer diameter.

How do I install the clip-on ferrite core and what is the common mistake?

Snap the hinged ring around the cable near the noise source; the mistake is placing it too far from the equipment or omitting a second core when both ends need protection.

Do these ferrite cores degrade or need periodic replacement?

They are passive components with no moving parts and do not wear out; replacement is only needed if the plastic housing cracks or the core is lost.
