1000 W 75 Ω Braking Resistor

The Unique-Bargains aluminium housed wirewound braking resistor dissipates 1000 W at 75 Ω. It is built for power supplies, transducers, elevators and similar industrial equipment that need reliable dynamic braking. The aluminium housing provides effective heat dissipation during continuous operation.

Mounting Holes 0.9 × 0.6 cm

Two mounting holes measuring 0.9 by 0.6 cm accept standard bolts for secure panel installation. The 33.5 cm leads with solder lug terminals simplify wiring, but verify the hole spacing matches your bracket before drilling. The 33 × 6 × 3 cm body requires adequate clearance for airflow.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 1000W 75ohm resistor is operating correctly after installation?

Measure resistance across the solder lug terminals with a multimeter; it should read close to 75ohm. During use the aluminium housing will become warm, confirming the wirewound element is dissipating power as intended.

What comes in the box and what must I source separately?

The package contains the aluminium-housed wirewound resistor with nylon-wrapped leads and solder lug terminals. Mounting hardware for the 0.9 x 0.6cm installing holes and any wiring or connectors to the power supply or transducer are not included.
