Replacement Carbon Brushes 18x8x4mm

This set supplies two carbon motor brushes measuring approximately 18 by 8 by 4 millimetres with a spring length of about 35 millimetres. They are designed as direct replacements for worn brushes in a wide range of electric motors and power tools.

Wear interval limits service life

Carbon brushes are consumable components that erode through friction during normal operation. The manufacturer notes replacement every 60 hours of use, so intervals between changes are short in continuous-duty applications.

Exact 18x8x4mm cross-section decides fit

The single specification determining compatibility is the physical cross-section of 18 by 8 by 4 millimetres; motors requiring a different brush footprint will not accept these parts.

Questions about this item

Which carbon brush dimensions should I pick for my motor?

These brushes measure 18 mm long, 8 mm wide and 4 mm high, matching the 18x8x4 mm size stated for the set.

What does the 18 mm length mean when the brush is installed?

The 18 mm is the brush body length; with the 35 mm spring attached the total assembly extends further into the holder.

How does the spring length affect brush life in practice?

The 35 mm spring keeps pressure on the brush as it wears, and the maker suggests replacing the pair every 60 hours of use.
