Six-Pack Adjustable Ball Catches

This six-pack of metal ball catches suits homeowners and DIYers fitting interior cabinet or closet doors. Each catch uses an all-metal body with a solid steel ball for smooth, quiet operation. The black finish resists fading through daily use. Twenty-four mounting screws are included for immediate installation.

Adjustable Latch Limits 12mm Travel

The catch body offers 12mm of threaded length adjustment so the ball can be set for a snug or loose fit. Ball outer diameter is 18mm and total height is 32mm. Strike plate measures 53 by 26mm while the catch plate measures 53 by 34mm. Mounting holes are 4mm diameter with 38mm and 40mm spacing options.

Check Door Thickness and Hole Alignment

Verify that the door edge can accommodate a 32mm tall catch body and that the 4mm mounting holes line up with the 38mm or 40mm centre spacing. Ensure the frame allows space for the 53 by 26mm strike plate. Buyers needing a magnetic catch or a mortise latch will need a different hardware type.

Questions about this item

Should I buy this 6-pack or look for a smaller quantity?

This pack contains six ball catches and twenty-four screws, so one pack covers up to six doors or cabinets.

How does the 18 mm ball size affect the hold on a typical interior door?

The 18 mm steel ball engages the strike plate to keep the door shut without rattling, and the 12 mm adjustable length lets you fine-tune the tension for a secure, quiet close.

Will the 4 mm mounting holes and 38/40 mm spacing match my existing door prep?

Each catch uses 4 mm mounting holes spaced at 38 mm and 40 mm centres, so check your current hole pattern against those dimensions before installing.
