D-Ring Hangers 20-Pack

This pack contains twenty black metal D-ring hangers designed for securing picture frames, photo mounts or cross-stitch projects to a wall. Each hanger measures 30 by 16 millimetres overall with a 19 by 16 millimetre hoop and a single 4 millimetre mounting hole. Screws are not supplied so you will need suitable wood screws for installation.

Home Decor and Craft Use

The hangers suit anyone finishing wooden frames, shadow boxes or stitched artwork that requires a flush, low-profile mounting point. They are not intended for heavy mirrors, large canvases or any load that exceeds the strength of a single 4 millimetre screw into wood. Renters or installers who cannot drill into walls should consider adhesive alternatives instead.

4 Millimetre Mounting Hole

The critical specification is the 4 millimetre diameter mounting hole which dictates the screw gauge you must use. Select wood screws with a shank that fits this hole cleanly to ensure the ring sits flat against the frame and carries the load without wobble.

Questions about this item

Will the 4 mm mounting hole eventually strip if I need to reposition the hanger?

The 4 mm hole is punched metal; repeated screw removal can enlarge it, so plan the final position before driving the screw.

At what load does the 19 x 16 mm hoop start to bend?

The steel hoop is thin; sustained loads above a few kilograms will gradually deform the 19 x 16 mm loop.

Do the black hangers get hot enough to scorch the frame backing after a day in sunlight?

Metal reaches ambient temperature only; no internal heat is generated, so the black finish will not scorch the frame.
