Desk Grommets for Cable Organisation

These five black plastic grommets route cables through a 53 mm desk hole for a tidy workspace. They suit offices, home desks and entertainment units where multiple cords need a single pass-through. The smooth surface prevents abrasion on peripheral cables. A spring-loaded cover adjusts to cable thickness and closes around the wires.

Check Hole Size and Surface Material

Verify the mounting surface has a 53 mm diameter cut-out before ordering. The grommet flange measures 63 mm across and sits 16 mm proud, so confirm the surrounding area is flat and thick enough to support the lip. The plastic body is non-conductive and intended for wood, laminate or similar furniture tops.

Low-Profile Passive Design

No moving parts or power are involved, so the grommets add no noise or heat to the desk. The lightweight plastic construction draws zero current and requires no ventilation. Normal use simply guides cables through the adjustable aperture without affecting nearby equipment.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and is anything else required for installation?

The package contains five black plastic desk grommets. Installation requires drilling a 53 mm hole in the desk surface; no additional parts are included.

Which size should I choose if my desk already has a 2-1/8 inch cut-out?

These grommets are made for a 53 mm (2-1/8 inch) hole diameter, so they match that existing cut-out exactly.

How does the 16 mm overall height affect cable routing under a typical desk?

At 16 mm tall the grommet sits nearly flush with the desktop, leaving ample clearance beneath for cables to pass through the spring-loaded cover plate.
