12 Inch Stainless Steel Barrel Bolt

This pack contains two 12 inch stainless steel barrel bolts designed for securing doors, windows, cupboards and sheds. The silver tone finish resists fading and withstands daily wear for a long service life. Each bolt measures 193 by 35 millimetres and provides a sturdy sliding lock mechanism. Suitable for vertical or horizontal fitting on a variety of indoor and outdoor surfaces.

Mounting Hole Spacing 81mm

Before ordering, confirm that your door or frame can accommodate the 81 millimetre hole spacing and 4 millimetre mounting hole dimension. You will need to drill two holes, one on the door and one on the frame, for the supplied screws. Ensure the material thickness allows secure screw engagement without splitting. The latch is not limited by installation angle but requires accurate measurement of the mounting surface.

Quiet Locking Performance

The stainless steel construction delivers secure and quiet locking performance during normal use. No power draw or active cooling is involved, so the bolts operate silently without thermal concerns. The robust barrel design keeps the door firmly closed once engaged. Routine maintenance is limited to occasional cleaning of the sliding mechanism.

Questions about this item

What comes in the 2 pack and do I need to buy screws separately?

The pack includes two stainless steel barrel bolt latches and all necessary mounting hardware for installation. No extra screws or fixings need to be purchased.

How do I decide between the 7.6 inch and 12 inch measurements shown?

The 12 inch figure is the product name; the actual latch body measures 7.6 inches long by 1.38 inches wide (193 mm by 35 mm).

Will the 81 mm hole spacing fit my existing door frame holes?

The mounting holes are spaced 81 mm apart (16 mm on the narrow dimension) with a 4 mm hole diameter, so check your frame matches those centres before drilling.
