Drill Press Quill Return Spring

This Unique-Bargains coil spring replaces worn quill-return springs on compatible drill presses. It retracts the spindle automatically after each drilling cycle. The part is new and supplied as a single spring unit.

Chemical Blackening Finish

The spring steel receives a chemical blackening treatment that forms a protective oxide film. This layer isolates the surface from air exposure and helps prevent rust during storage and use.

1800mm Expand Length with Hook and Round Hole Mounts

At 1800mm expanded length the spring suits presses requiring long return travel. Inner hook and outer round-hole mounting points must match the host machine; different mounting styles or shorter travel needs will not be compatible.

Questions about this item

Which spring dimensions should I match to my drill press quill?

Match the 68 mm outer diameter, 19 mm material width and 0.7 mm thickness to the original quill spring specifications.

What does the 1800 mm expand length mean once the spring is installed?

The spring stretches to 1800 mm (71 inch) when fully extended, providing the return force that pulls the quill back to the top after drilling.

How do the hook inner and round-hole outer mounting types fit the press?

The inner hook engages the quill anchor point while the outer round hole seats on the housing pin, securing the spring without additional fasteners.
