Aviation Socket Cable — 2m

This 2-metre GX16 aviation socket cable carries a double female connector rated for 2 pins and a 16mm mounting thread. It suits engineers, technicians and hobbyists who need a sealed electrical link in aviation, navigation, data-acquisition, automation or audio-video installations.

Replaces Worn or Shorter Leads

Swap this cable when an existing GX16 lead has cracked insulation, corroded contacts or insufficient reach. The step up is worthwhile only if the application demands the specified 6mm cable diameter and 107g assembly weight for mechanical stability and environmental sealing.

Verify Thread and Pin Count Before Ordering

Confirm that the panel cut-out accepts a 16mm thread and that the mating connector uses exactly two pins in a straight-head layout. The black PVC jacket and metal shell are built to the stated dimensions; no other thread sizes, pin counts or cable lengths are included in this package.

Questions about this item

What size panel cut-out does the 16 mm mounting thread require?

Drill a 16 mm hole in the panel; the connector’s thread matches that diameter exactly.

Which wiring step is most often missed when fitting the 2-pin straight head?

Solder each pin before snapping the insulator into the metal shell; skipping the solder leaves an open circuit.

When should the 2 m black PVC cable be inspected for wear?

Check the 6 mm diameter jacket after every 107 g of vibration cycles or if the waterproof seal shows moisture ingress.
