Blue PVC Heat-Shrink Tubing 95 mm

This blue PVC heat-shrink tubing comes in a 10 m roll with a flat width of 95 mm and a wall thickness of .2 mm. It is designed to wrap 18650 battery packs for insulation and mechanical protection. The material is flame-retardant and rated for 300 V operation.

Shrinks at 98 °C with 48 % ratio

The tubing shrinks to 48 % of its original diameter when heated to 98 °C using a hot-air gun. In normal use it remains flexible, resists moisture and corrosion, and provides a stable insulating barrier around the cells. No batteries are included in the package.

95 mm flat width for 18650 packs

The 95 mm flat width fits standard 18650 battery pack dimensions and cannot accommodate larger cell formats or multi-pack assemblies. Buyers needing wider coverage for custom pack layouts will need a different tubing size.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 95mm flat-width heat-shrink tube on an 18650 battery pack and what step is often missed?

Slide the blue PVC tube over the pack, then apply a hot-air gun at 98°C until the 48 % shrink ratio takes hold; the step many miss is heating evenly around the full circumference so the .2 mm wall seals without gaps.

What maintenance or replacement will the 10 m roll of 300 V rated tubing need later?

The material is a single-use shrink sleeve; once heated it cannot be re-expanded, so any damaged section must be cut off and replaced with a fresh length from the same roll.

What limit appears first when the tubing is used continuously at its 300 V rating?

The .2 mm PVC wall reaches its thermal ceiling at the 98 °C shrink point; sustained operation near that temperature degrades insulation performance before the voltage rating becomes an issue.
