M16 90° IP68 Cable Gland, Pair

These two black nylon glands seal cables from 4 mm to 7 mm at a 90-degree angle. Each unit includes a locknut and washer for a complete installation. The IP68 rating blocks water and dust in junction boxes or outdoor enclosures. Strain relief protects the wire where it exits the gland.

Suits thin cables in tight corners.

Installers routing 4 mm to 7 mm cables through panel walls at right angles will find the 90-degree shape saves space. The M16 thread fits standard knockouts. Buyers needing to seal cables larger than 7 mm or requiring a straight-through gland should choose a different model. The pair covers two entry points.

16 mm thread diameter, 10 mm thread length

The gland cuts a 16 mm thread with a 10 mm engagement depth. Cable diameter range is 4 mm to 7 mm. Overall body measures 109 mm by 45 mm by 26 mm. Static temperature range spans -40 °C to 100 °C. Dynamic range covers -20 °C to 80 °C. Thread pitch is 1.5 mm.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the M16 gland for 4-7 mm cable or a different thread size?

The gland is M16 with 16 mm thread diameter, 10 mm thread length and 1.5 mm pitch, so choose it when your enclosure has an M16 threaded hole and your cable outer diameter falls between 4 mm and 7 mm.

What does the IP68 rating actually protect against once the gland is fitted?

IP68 means the assembly is dust-tight and rated for continuous immersion in water; the nylon body, rubber seal, locknut and washer together block water, dust, acid and alcohol ingress at the cable entry point.

How does the 90-degree angle and M16 thread affect installation space and sealing?

The 90-degree elbow measures 109 mm long, 45 mm wide and 26 mm high, letting the cable exit parallel to the panel while the 10 mm M16 thread with locknut secures and seals the gland in the cut-out.
