M32 Cable Gland for 16-21mm Cables

This M32 cable gland accepts cables from 16mm to 21mm in diameter. The thread measures 32mm in diameter with a 12mm length and a 1.5mm pitch. Two black plastic glands are supplied complete with locknuts and washers for immediate installation.

Suits Junction Boxes and Outdoor Enclosures

Builders sealing cable entries in junction boxes, control panels or outdoor enclosures will find the IP-rated protection against water, dust, acid and alcohol useful. Installations requiring metal glands, armoured cable termination or threaded entries other than M32 x 1.5 cannot use these parts.

16mm to 21mm Cable Range Decides Fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 16mm to 21mm cable clamping range. Cables thinner than 16mm or thicker than 21mm will not seal correctly in this gland, so verify the outer diameter of your cable before purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the package include locknuts and washers, or do I need to buy them separately?

Each of the two M32 glands comes complete with its own locknut and washer, so no extra hardware is required for installation.

How do I know whether the M32 version with a 16-21 mm cable range is the right one for my wires?

Measure the outer diameter of your cable; if it falls between 16 mm and 21 mm the M32 x 1.5 gland with 12 mm thread length will fit.

What does the IP-rated waterproof claim mean once the gland is fitted to a junction box?

When tightened on a cable within the 16-21 mm range the plastic gland seals against water, dust, acid and alcohol ingress at the entry point.
