Scart adapter with switched video outputs

This adapter converts a 21-pin RGB Scart male plug to three RCA phono sockets and one S-VHS female port. A manual input/output switch lets you select the active video path. It is suited for connecting legacy AV equipment such as DVD players, set-top boxes or game consoles to older displays or capture devices.

Composite and S-VHS on one cable

The unit provides two audio phono sockets for left and right channels plus one video phono and one S-VHS connector for video. The switched design means only one video output is active at a time so simultaneous composite and S-VHS feeds are not supported. Buyers needing concurrent dual-video output or HDMI conversion should consider a different solution.

Questions about this item

Will the 21-pin SCART plug fit my older TV that still uses a SCART socket?

Yes, the adapter uses a standard 21-pin SCART male connector designed to plug directly into a legacy SCART socket on older televisions or video equipment.

How can I confirm the adapter is passing a signal correctly after connecting it?

Use the manual Input/Output switch to select the desired direction, then check for picture on the composite video or S-VHS output and sound from the left and right audio phono sockets.
