Silicone Resin Mica Plates 13 x 13cm

Two mica plates measure 13 x 13cm each and weigh 25g in total. They are made from mica paper bonded with silicone resin under heat and pressure. The material provides heat resistance and electrical insulation for home appliances.

Two plates for multiple repairs

The pack contains two identical plates so you can replace a damaged sheet and keep a spare. Each plate can be trimmed to fit the specific cavity of a microwave oven, hair dryer, toaster or warmer. Having a second plate avoids downtime if the first installation needs adjustment.

Check cavity dimensions before ordering

Verify that the 13 x 13cm plates cover the waveguide opening in your appliance. Confirm the original mica sheet is flat and not curved, as these plates are rigid. Ensure the appliance manual lists mica sheet replacement as a user-serviceable task.

Questions about this item

When do the 13 x 13 cm mica plates need replacement?

Replace them once the surface shows cracks, discolouration or carbon tracks from arcing.

What fails first if the microwave runs continuously?

The silicone-resin binder degrades before the mica itself, so the plate becomes brittle and loses its insulating property.

How hot do the plates get during all-day use?

They are rated for the temperatures found in microwave ovens, hair-dryers and toasters, so they stay within safe limits during normal operation.
