Silicone Tubing 12 mm ID 16 mm OD

This clear silicone tubing has a 12 mm inner diameter and 16 mm outer diameter for pump and transfer tasks. The 2 mm wall thickness provides structural stability while keeping the hose flexible. It is supplied in a 6.56 ft length for custom cutting.

Temperature Range -76 °F to 428 °F

The tubing operates continuously from -76 °F to 428 °F, covering most automotive fluid and industrial air lines. At the upper extreme the material remains stable, while the lower limit prevents brittleness in cold environments. It is not rated for steam or pressurised hydraulic systems beyond the stated range.

Non-Reactive Silicone Rubber Construction

Made from 65 Shore A hardness silicone rubber, the hose resists chemical attack from water, oil and common coolants. The clear wall allows visual flow confirmation during siphoning, draining or machinery connections. The smooth bore reduces sediment build-up and simplifies cleaning between uses.

Questions about this item

Will the 12 mm inner diameter fit over the barbed fittings I already use?

The tubing has a 12 mm inner diameter and a 2 mm wall, so it will slide onto standard 12 mm barbs; soften the end in warm water if the fit feels tight.

How can I confirm the tube handles the temperature range claimed?

The material is rated from -76 °F to 428 °F; after installation, run your process at the expected temperature and check that the tube stays flexible and shows no cracking or hardening.

Does the 6.56 ft length come pre-cut or do I need clamps and cutters?

The package includes one continuous 6.56 ft length of clear silicone tubing; you will need a sharp knife or tube cutter and suitable clamps for your connections.
