The Unique-Bargains spring loaded latch pin is a surface-mounted barrel bolt made of electroplated iron with a silver tone finish. It suits doors, windows, cupboards, sheds and internal rooms where a simple mechanical lock is required. The 12 mm diameter bolt slides into a matching keep to hold the leaf firmly closed.

Two Pin Operation and Screw Supply

Pulling the bolt back and rotating it 90 degrees engages the twin pins to hold the latch open, allowing the door to swing free. The mechanism works in both vertical and horizontal orientations, so gate and window installations are equally straightforward. Mounting holes are 6 mm wide with 40 mm and 28 mm spacing, but screws are not included in the pack.

Surface Mount Limits and Alignment

Because the latch sits on the face of the frame, the door or gate must close flush against the strike for the bolt to engage fully. Misaligned hinges or warped leaves will prevent the 12 mm bolt from entering the keep, leaving the opening unsecured. The 165 mm overall length also demands sufficient flat surface on both the moving leaf and the fixed frame.
