Stainless steel round rods 30 pack

This pack contains thirty stainless steel round rods intended for hobbyists and model builders who need small-diameter shafts for gear trains, motor outputs or support posts in RC cars, aircraft, boats and buggies. The silver-tone finish resists corrosion during outdoor use.

Ready-to-use axle stock

Each rod is pre-cut to 40 mm length and 2 mm diameter so it can serve directly as a gear shaft, motor shaft, short support shaft or miniature axle without further machining. The 30-piece quantity allows multiple builds or spares for repairs.

Lightweight precision shafts

At 29 g for the full set the rods add minimal mass to weight-sensitive airframes or racing chassis. They handle light torque loads in small-scale drivetrains but are not suited for high-power drivetrains or structural loads that exceed the material strength of 2 mm stainless steel.

Questions about this item

How often will I need to replace the stainless-steel rods?

The rods are solid stainless steel with no moving parts, so they do not wear out under normal modelling use.

What limits how many rods I can use continuously in a build?

Each pack contains 30 pieces weighing 29 g total, so the quantity in the box is the practical limit.

Do the rods generate heat or noise when the model runs all day?

They are passive metal shafts; they produce no heat or noise themselves.
