Driver-side chrome projection headlight fits 2018-plus Peterbilt 388 and 389 trucks with plug-and-play halogen low and high beams plus LED position, turn and side-marker lights
This driver-side headlight assembly fits 2018 and newer Peterbilt 388 and 389 trucks. It replaces the factory unit with a patent-pending chrome projection design. The housing integrates amber LED turn signals, a white LED position bar and an amber LED side marker. Installation uses the existing wiring harness for a direct plug-and-play connection.
The amber LED turn signal uses a projector lens for a focused beam pattern. A white LED position bar provides a continuous running-light signature across the front. An amber LED side marker adds lateral visibility. All LED elements operate at 12 V DC and draw power through the stock harness without extra modules or resistors.
Low-beam function uses an H11 halogen bulb rated at 55 watts and 4.5 amps. High-beam function uses an HB3 halogen bulb rated at 60 watts and 5 amps. The projector housing is built around these two bulb types, so output is fixed to their specifications. Buyers who want higher-output LED or HID low beams will need a different housing design.

The low beam uses a 55 W H11 halogen bulb drawing 4.5 A, and the high beam uses a 60 W HB3 halogen bulb drawing 5 A; both are standard replaceable bulbs with typical halogen lifespans.
Each high-beam HB3 bulb draws 5 A at 12 V DC, so the circuit’s 5-ampere load is the first electrical limit under sustained use.
The LED position bar and amber turn signals run on the same 12 V system but consume far less power than the 55 W low-beam and 60 W high-beam halogens, so they add minimal extra heat.
