Direct replacement remote

This universal remote replaces the original AKAI AC-MX96 AC300 AM57 AM67 AP-M70 AP-MX570 AX570 AV12 unit. It replicates every button function of the original controller. The remote arrives pre-programmed and ready for immediate use after inserting batteries. It is designed for owners of those specific AKAI models needing a like-for-like substitute.

Infrared single-device control

The handset uses infrared transmission to communicate with the target device. It supports control of only one component at a time. Operation requires direct line of sight between the remote and the equipment. Users with multiple AV units will need separate controllers for each piece of kit.

AAA battery powered handset

Two AAA cells power the unit and are the only maintenance required. The lightweight plastic casing fits a standard hand grip for daily sofa use. No pairing, setup menus or software updates are involved. The 12 month guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship.

Questions about this item

Which AKAI models does this single universal remote replace?

It covers the AC-MX96, AC300, AM57, AM67, AP-M70, AP-MX570, AX570 and AV12 models, so one handset works across that entire list.

What does the single-device support mean once the remote is in use?

The handset controls one AKAI component at a time; you select the correct code set for your model and every button mirrors the original layout.

How does the infrared interface limit real-world operation?

Infrared requires direct line-of-sight to the device, so the remote must point at the front sensor without obstacles between them.
