Direct replacement remote

The COBY TFDVD2290 universal remote is a direct replacement for the original unit. It supports control of one device using infrared wireless technology. The remote arrives with all original functions pre-installed and requires only AAA batteries to operate. It is intended for owners of the matching Coby player seeking a like-for-like substitute.

Everyday infrared reliability

Under sustained use the remote maintains consistent infrared transmission for each button press. Performance does not degrade during extended sessions because the simple IR link has no pairing overhead or radio congestion. Battery life scales with typical AAA capacity and usage frequency. There is no recharge cycle or firmware to manage.

Single-device infrared constraint

The infrared interface requires direct line of sight to the player and controls only one device. It cannot operate equipment behind cabinet doors or through walls. Multi-device households needing a single handset for several components cannot use this model. The 12 month guarantee covers the supplied unit.
