Replacement for DENON DRA-735R RC-136

This universal remote is a direct replacement for the original DENON DRA-735R RC-136 handset. It reproduces every button and function of the factory unit. The device arrives pre-programmed so it works immediately after batteries are inserted. It is intended for owners who need a like-for-like substitute without any setup hassle.

Infrared operation with AAA power

The remote communicates solely via infrared, so it requires line of sight to the receiver. Two AAA batteries supply all operating power; there are no rechargeable cells or charging circuits inside. Because it uses a simple IR link, standby draw is negligible and the unit runs silently. Battery life will depend on how often the buttons are pressed.

Ready-to-use with 12-month guarantee

No companion software, apps or firmware updates are bundled; the remote is fully functional out of the box. The only included accessories are the pre-installed button codes and the 12-month guarantee. Buyers who want macro programming, backlit keys or control of multiple device types should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the DENON DRA-735R RC-136 remote, and what step do people often miss?

Insert two AAA batteries, observing the polarity markings inside the compartment, then point the infrared emitter at the receiver — the unit ships pre-programmed so no code entry is required.

What maintenance will the DENON DRA-735R RC-136 remote need over time?

Replace the two AAA batteries when the infrared range noticeably shortens; no firmware updates or internal servicing are specified for this model.

What limit appears first when using the DENON DRA-735R RC-136 remote continuously?

The infrared link requires unobstructed line-of-sight to the component, so range and angle become the practical constraint during extended sessions.
