Infrared Line-of-Sight Operation

The remote communicates using infrared technology, requiring a clear path to the television sensor. Performance stays consistent as long as the line of sight remains unobstructed. No pairing or network setup is involved. Battery life will vary with daily usage patterns.

Verify Model Compatibility First

Confirm that your television uses the FLX3711B model code before ordering. This unit supports only that specific model and cannot control additional devices. The package includes the remote with functions pre-installed. A twelve-month guarantee covers the product.

Questions about this item

Does the infrared remote draw enough power to need frequent AAA changes if used all day?

It runs on standard AAA cells and only transmits when a button is pressed, so daily use typically yields months per set.

What must the buyer already own for the FLX3711B to control their Element device?

An Element component that originally shipped with the FLX3711B remote, because this unit is a direct button-for-button replacement.

Will the replacement remote interfere with an older Element unit kept in the same room?

Both use the same infrared codes, so pointing at one device will not trigger the other unless the beam is aimed directly at its sensor.
