Direct Replacement Remote

This universal remote is a direct replacement for the original NAKAMICHI RM7CA, RM-7CA, CA-7 and CA-7A models. It supports control of one device using infrared wireless technology. Every button from the original handset is replicated so all functions remain available. The unit arrives pre-programmed and ready to use once batteries are inserted.

Battery-Powered Infrared Control

The remote operates on standard AAA batteries which are not included in the package. Infrared transmission requires a clear line of sight to the Nakamichi component being controlled. No additional hubs, cables or wireless networks are needed for operation. This simplicity keeps the setup focused on basic handheld control.

Consistent Everyday Operation

Under sustained daily use the infrared signal remains stable for routine playback and menu navigation. Button response stays consistent across repeated presses without noticeable latency. The fixed one-device limit means it cannot consolidate control of multiple components. Buyers needing multi-device management or radio-frequency range should consider other solutions.
