Universal metal mesh bookends

This pair of black metal mesh bookends keeps books upright and organised on a desk or shelf. The reinforced steel mesh frame provides a stable structure designed to withstand years of use. They are sold as a single pair for immediate setup.

Practical limits of the mesh design

The open mesh construction allows air to circulate around book spines but offers no solid barrier for very small or thin items that could slip through the gaps. Books must be wide enough to rest against the vertical face without tipping into the openings. The non-skid padded base prevents sliding on smooth surfaces yet adds minimal height.

Build quality and daily implications

A reinforced steel mesh frame resists bending when supporting heavy hardback volumes or crowded paperbacks. The non-skid padded base protects desktop finishes from scratches and keeps the bookends stationary when books are added or removed. Black colour mapping suits a range of office or home decor styles without drawing attention.

Questions about this item

Should I buy one pair or two pairs of the 20025 bookends?

Each box contains one pair — two individual bookends — which is the standard set for a single shelf. Order two pairs if you need to support books on multiple shelves.

How well does the reinforced steel mesh frame hold heavy hardcover books upright?

The reinforced steel mesh frame is designed to be strong and stable, keeping heavy hardcovers upright without bending or tipping over during daily use.

Will the non-skid padded base protect my desk surface and prevent sliding?

Yes, the non-skid padded base grips the shelf and protects the finish from scratches while keeping the bookends firmly in place.
