Replacement Remote for Marantz Projectors

This remote control is a direct replacement for the Marantz VP-12S4 series, including the VP-12S4L, VP-12S4MLB and VP-12S4S models. It replicates every button and function of the original handset. Home-cinema owners and installers can use it immediately after inserting batteries. No programming or setup is required.

Consistent Operation Over Extended Use

The unit maintains reliable infrared transmission during long presentations or film sessions. Button response remains steady without the lag that can appear in generic alternatives after prolonged periods. The internal circuit retains its stored command set indefinitely, so behaviour does not drift over time. It is built to match the original specification for sustained daily use.

Simple Battery Installation

Installation consists of opening the battery compartment, inserting two standard cells and closing the cover. The remote is then ready to control the projector without further steps. The most common issue is depleted or incorrectly oriented batteries, which mimic a faulty handset. Users should verify fresh cells and correct polarity before assuming a defect.

Questions about this item

Does the remote draw noticeable power when the projector runs all day?

It only uses battery power when you press a button, so it adds no heat or noise to the projector itself.

What must I already own for this remote to work?

You need a Marantz VP-12S4, VP-12S4L, VP-12S4MLB or VP-12S4S projector and two AAA batteries.

Will it control my older Marantz projector that uses a different remote code?

No, it is a direct replacement only for the four models listed above.
