Universal RC-024 universal remote

Direct replacement remote

This infrared universal remote is a direct replacement for the original COBY TFDVD1993, RC-024, TFDVD1594 and RC024 controls. It replicates every button function so the user can operate the DVD player without learning new layouts. The handset arrives pre-programmed and only requires two AAA batteries to become operational. It suits anyone who has lost or damaged the factory remote.

Single-device infrared control

The remote supports exactly one device at a time using infrared line-of-sight transmission. It cannot consolidate a television, soundbar or streaming box alongside the DVD player. Obstructions between the handset and the player will interrupt commands. Buyers needing multi-device macros or radio-frequency operation should look elsewhere.

Pre-programmed button parity

Every key on the replacement matches the original remote button-for-button with no setup codes required. This parity decides whether the part fits the user's workflow; if a specialised function exists on the factory handset it is present here. No on-screen programming or code search is involved.
