Direct Replacement Remote

This universal remote replaces the original ONKYO RC-267M, RC-268S and TX-SV919TH AV amplifier handsets. It replicates every button function so the receiver operates exactly as it did with the factory remote. The unit arrives pre-programmed and works immediately after inserting batteries. It is intended for owners who need a like-for-like substitute.

Single-Device Infrared Control

The remote controls one device using infrared transmission, requiring direct line of sight to the amplifier. It handles all standard playback, volume and menu commands without extra setup. It does not support multiple components, macro programming or radio-frequency operation. Buyers who want to consolidate several remotes into one unit should look elsewhere.

Battery-Powered Simplicity

Two AAA cells power the handset for everyday use; no charging dock or proprietary pack is involved. Infrared range is limited by the receiver's sensor angle and ambient light conditions. The remote offers no backlighting, touchscreen or smart-home integration. Users who need extended range, discrete codes or app-based control will find this model insufficient.

Questions about this item

Will this remote control my ONKYO TX-SV919TH amplifier alongside the older DVD player I keep in the same rack?

The remote is a direct replacement for the original ONKYO RC-267M and RC-268S units and supports one device, so it operates the amplifier but not additional components.

How can I confirm the remote is working correctly once I insert the batteries?

Every button mirrors the original layout; pressing any key should trigger the corresponding function on the amplifier immediately.

What comes in the package and do I need to purchase anything else before using it?

The remote arrives with its functions pre-installed; you only need to supply two AAA batteries to make it ready to use.
